The Women’s Society recently raised more than $5,000 for Orange Sky, supporting the organisation’s work providing free laundry and shower services to people experiencing homelessness.
The fundraiser brought together members of the community who share a passion for helping others and strengthening support networks across the region.
Mayor Nick Dametto and State government were of attendance, highlighting the need for support.
Orange Sky plays a critical role in supporting vulnerable individuals, and The Women’s Society is proud to contribute to their mission.
Founder Jade Nelson, who has volunteered with Orange Sky for several years, said the fundraiser reflects the community’s generosity and willingness to support important causes.
The Women’s Society looks forward to continuing to collaborate with organisations like Orange Sky to create positive impact across North Queensland.
