The Women’s Society has been recognised as one of three finalists for the Queensland Gives Emerging Philanthropist Award, celebrating organisations that are making a meaningful difference through community leadership and giving.
Queensland Gives highlights individuals and organisations across the state that are helping strengthen communities through generosity, advocacy and social impact.
Being selected as a finalist acknowledges The Women’s Society’s efforts to address social isolation among women and create opportunities for connection, conversation and support.
Through grassroots initiatives and partnerships with local organisations, The Women’s Society has delivered events, programs and fundraising initiatives that support women’s wellbeing while also giving back to the wider community.
Founder Jade Nelson said the recognition reflects the power of collective action.
"This acknowledgement belongs to every woman who has attended an event, volunteered their time or supported our mission. Community change happens when people come together."
The Women’s Society is proud to represent Townsville and regional Queensland among this year’s finalists and looks forward to continuing to grow its impact.
