The Women’s Society has been recognised at a statewide level, receiving a Community Achievement Award for its work strengthening connection and community across North Queensland.
Jade Nelson was selected as the winner for the Channel 7 Local Legend Award.
The award celebrates organisations making a significant contribution to social wellbeing and highlights the growing impact of The Women’s Society’s grassroots approach.
Through events, partnerships and community initiatives, the organisation has helped create spaces where women can build friendships, access support and feel a sense of belonging.
The recognition reflects the dedication of the volunteers, partners and members who continue to support the mission of reducing isolation and building stronger communities.
